Playtime

This is my new swing! As you can see, it's a water theme. I enjoy it very much. Mom likes it too because she can leave me in here so she can shower. The swing sings to me and has cool lights and I can start it myself by pulling on these toys.
This other picture is of me on my gymini. As you can see, I really like to grab things now. I also really enjoy batting the toys around because they make funny noises. I also do tummy time on the gymini. Sorry no pictures of that yet because I usually get fussy pretty quickly.

My favorite Buddy

This is my favorite animal. He's a lamb and he's very soft. I really enjoy having him with me for car rides and trips out of the house. My favorite thing to do is to suck on his soft ears. He makes me smile.

Mom and Me

I guess this picture kind of explains itself. This is me and mom doing what we do best. Smile at each other. As you can see, I now really fit into my clothes. This outfit is for 3 month old baby's. That's me!

I'm 3 months old!

Oh what a momentus occasion! I'm officially 3 months old! In honor of my 3 month birthday, mom and dad left me with nannie and went up to Napa. They said it was very nice to have an adult day. I have no idea what that means but I enjoyed being with nannie so I guess it worked out well for everyone.
So today is Tuesday and mom and I are back into our routine of walking Stow Lake every morning. Today was grand fun because all the ducks were right up on the shore anxious to say hello to me. They came right up to me and ate food out of mom's hand. I got a good giggle out of that. I got to touch a Canadian Goose too. What a big bird! They are so domesticated they didn't care that I touched them and they actually seemed quite interested in me. I think it was the bread in mom's pocket. Then we said hello to a little French Bulldog puppy who was very cute. We are both about the same size. The puppy covered me in kisses which was grand fun! I got a good giggle out of the puppy who was very curious about me.
So nannie says I'm starting to teethe. I guess that would explain all the extra drooling and need to suck on things.
I'm a very happy baby although mom says I don't sleep as much as I should. She misses the 7 hour stints at night. I've regressed back to 3-4 hour naps at night. During the day I rarely sleep except when we are out. There is just too much to see!
I'm really starting to grip things now. I have this toy on my gymini that has a rattle and I grab onto that regularly. It's a lot of fun because it makes lots of noise when I knock it around.
Some time this week mom has to go get a copy of my birth certificate so she can get out jury duty. I guess I'll be going with her for that.
Oh I almost forgot. Over the weekend, I got see grandpa Wally. He's so funny! He came over and made all these funny faces that made me smile and then he held me for a while which was neat I also got to see great grandad Howard which was nice. He has an apartment on the 20th floor so I got a real good view of the city from up there.
I guess that's all to report today. This week mom is taking me to DayOne so she can figure out how to get me back to sleeping longer at night. Wish her luck. Have a good week everyone!

Happy Thursday

Well we've had a very busy week as usual. On Monday, we went on a very long walk through Golden Gate Park. We go to Stow Lake every day and say hello to the ducks. I like to watch mom feed them because then they come and visit us. Tuesday we had lunch with grandma Diane which was grand fun. We went to Park Chow and I was so well behaved mom was able to eat her entire meal without dealing with me. We then went for a very long walk that wore mom and grandma Diane out. Wednesday we went over to grandma Diane's house so mom could pick up some things and drop off a few things for when my cousin Emma visits. While at grandma Diane's I played with lots of toys which is always fun.
Today I've been napping a lot and mom is very happy about that. Tomorrow mom is having lunch with her friend Steve and I have my nannie tomorrow night so mom and dad can go out to dinner. They say having dinner at home is nice but it's nice to go out and not have to worry about me getting fussy in the middle of a meal.
Sunday mom and dad are leaving me with nannie and they are going up to Napa to have an "adult" day. They are very excited about that.
Dad is taking Monday off so that will be nice too.
Dad is really enjoying his new job at the A's. He says it's really fun being involved with the finances of a Major League Baseball Team. Mom is really enjoying having dad home at a decent hour every night.
I'm also hoping to go see my great grandfather Howard and grandpa Wally sometime this weekend.
I guess that's all to report. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

my new swing

Well mom and dad bought me a new toy this weekend. It's a swing. I love it! I like the motion and it sings to me and has lots of lights. Mom likes it because I'm entertained long enough for her to shower and eat breakfast in the morning. I especially like my swing at night because the lights really shine. I'm also still really enjoying my gymini. I really bat the animals hard. Mom tells me that with real animals you shouldn't hit them but with stuffed animals it's ok.
I'm learning the importance of naps. Mom says I need them. I don't like them because I don't want to miss any of the action. I've been very good today and have napped twice! This is a big victory for mom.
Yesterday I went over to grandma Julie and grandpa Wally's. It was lots of fun. Grandma Julie spoiled me by feeding me every 10 minutes--this makes mom crazy because then I get all off schedule and mom then has to work very hard to get me back on schedule. Grandpa Wally and I walked the dogs too. Grandma Julie also took me to visit her friend Anne Marie. Anne Marie has 2 boys that are both in college now so it's fun for Anne Marie to play with me. I got held a lot which I liked very much.
Mom and dad appreciated the break so they could get some things done. I usually require lots of attention so mom and dad don't get much done when I am home. They say I'm worth it.
Today we went for a really nice walk around Stow Lake. I got up extra early so as not to miss any of the animals. Mom and I also went and had sushi today. Mom says when I start eating solid foods, sushi will be a large part of my diet because she likes it so much. I was very good at the sushi bar and mom appreciated getting to eat a real lunch. Then we went to the market and then back home.
It's very warm today in SF. Mom is wearing her shorts and I'm wearing one of my lighter outfits.
Ok well I just got hiccups..YUCK! gotta go

Friday walk

Well mom and I have taken advantage of the gorgeous weather all week and gone on a lot of walks..I now walk everywhere in my Snugli which is really fun because then I get to see everything. Today we went up to Stow Lake again and I played with the ducks and squirrels. I think the squirrels are very funny as they try to beg for food. We also discovered turtles today. I thought those were very cool too.
The fog is coming in so I don't know how many more walks we'll go on but it sure has been a fun week!
This weekend I will go spend some time with grandma Julie and grandpa Wally. Grandpa Wally hasn't seen me in quite some time so I'm gauranteed to get extra spoiled.
I guess that's all to report for now. Have a good weekend everyone.

My Trip to Stow Lake

Well today mom and I went to stow lake for a change of scenery. Dad had taken me there yesterday so mom could get some sleep. It was absolutely beautiful weather today! We saw lots of ducks and our heron bird friend again. Mom pointed the pagoda out to me where "Memoirs of a Geisha" was filmed. Everyone at the lake enjoyed seeing me and mom enjoyed the exercise.
Then we headed off to DayOne which was rather interesting. Today we learned about tummy time. Mom and I have been doing this on our own for quite some time but now mom has the technique perfected. I really enjoy tummy time.
I am now playing on my gymini which I really enjoy. I have learned how to kick to turn on the music. I have also learned that when on my tummy I can look at myself in the mirror. That's really fun! I talk a lot when I am on the gymini. Mom says I'm definately working up a vocabulary she just can't understand me--kind of like the cats.
Last night I went over to our neighbors the Plonsker's for dinner. It was really fun! We watched the end of the Superbowl and then mom and dad ate dinner. I was very good. Mom says I'm really becoming quite the traveler these days.
Anyway, I guess that's all to report today.

New pictures of cute me!

Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone! Well here are some new pictures of me. Aren't I cute? As you can see, I enjoy holding onto my red ring and I also finally fit into some of my 3 months old clothes. The outfit with the lion on it is from Montreal where mom's pet sitting clients travel. Mom went shopping today at the Carter's store so more cute clothes to come.
Mom and dad got a new mattress yesterday and they say it's wonderful! I got to sleep on it briefly this morning and I agree it's very soft and comfy.
Hope everyone has a good week. I'll report in when I can.

pediatrician visit

Well I got back from the pediatricians and I was NOT HAPPY! 4 shots was not what I had signed up for. Mom gave me some baby tylenol and now I am asleep. YEAH! Mom had to carry me around for almost 2 hours to get me calmed down after that traumatic experience. The good news is I've gained weight and I'm getting taller. I now weigh 10 pounds 1 ounce and I'm 22 inches tall. That means I am growing on average 2 inches a month which is very good and the pediatrician says I'm doing just great! I passed with a very clean bill of health and I don't have to go back for 2 months.
Mom and I both cried when I got my shots but we are both troopers. Nothing a little chocolate(for mom) and formula(for me) won't fix.
Anyway, just thought everyone would want to know we survived despite dad not being there. Good news all around.

I hold onto things!

Hi everyone! I know it's been a few days so I'm checking in. A new thing to report. I can now hold onto things! Yep you can put something into my hand and I'll grip onto it with all my might. Then I throw it around and smile and laugh! It's pretty cool. I have quite a few new things that I like to hold onto including rattles and rings. I also now really enjoy batting around the toys on my gymini especially the parrot and monkey. Mom thinks I may be left handed since I seem to prefer to hold things in that hand. Who knows maybe I'll be a valuable pitcher some day.
Dad is really enjoying his new job at the A's and mom is enjoying having him home for more regular hours.
Today I go to the pediatrician's. That will be interesting. Mom's not too excited because she knows I have to get shots. Mom is excited to find out how much weight I've gained and how much taller I've gotten. Will let you know how it goes.
