My day at the beach

Well once again, mom didn't take pictures--she's really bummed about that. Yesterday we went to Stinson Beach. It was an absolutely gorgeous day! I got to play in the sand(always fun), play with grandma Julie(Lots of fun), and I even swam in the cold Pacific Ocean. Yes the COLD ocean. It was really FUN! I really liked how the waves came up to me and how I could kick and splash and get sand all over me. I got cold and started to turn purple so mom decided it was time to get out. I was NOT happy. I was just having so much fun!
After the beach, we went to grandma Julie's house in Lagunitas where I swam in the blow up pool. That was how I got all the sand off of me. We left grandma Julie's at around 4pm and I slept the entire ride home. Mom was very happy about that.
Anyway, I thought I'd share my adventure with everyone.

I love guacamole

Sorry I don't have any pictures of this but today I discovered guacamole. You know, that green stuff they serve at Chevy's? Today we were at Chevy's and dad was nice enough to share his plate with me. I ate all the guacamole! It was great! Got it everywhere too--my specialty. I also wanted the sour creme but mom wasn't too sure about that one. I really liked the lettuce too--great for dipping! By the end of the "meal," I was covered head to toe in green stuff and everyone at the restaurant got a good laugh. Anyway, thought you would all like to know. On other interesting news, I like to roll everywhere now. It's a great way to get around and get to toys I can't reach. Mom and dad are starting to childproof the house since they know I will be crawling soon. Lots of fun!

Full Steam Ahead

I know Dad has told you about me liking my Elmo Car, these are some picture Dad took yesterday after I drove out to see him and the fishies in the dining room. My car is fun, because it allows me to be independent, and not always have to be moved by Mom or Dad. That is allowing me to be more calm when I am sitting in the living room or playing in my crib. Today I actually ran in the Elmo Car, making it from the back door in the kitchen to the dining room in about 5 seconds flat!!

Bed Time

Many nights I am not ready to go to bed as early as everyone would like, so I will hang out in Mom and Dad's bed for a little while. As you can see, I really like hanging out in the big bed, it makes me really happy!

Opera in the Park

Mom really wanted to go to Opera In the Park this weekend so we all went down with her. As you can see from the first picture we loaded up the cart with so much stuff it looked like we were going away for a week (blankets, folding chairs, etc). You also can see we stopped at Yellow Sub for lunch, a place Dad has been going to ever since Grandma used to take him there back in the 80's. Mom and Dad even bought me a bag of chips, which is one of the greatest toys out there for me as it crinkles and I can play with it for hours. The key is to never actually open the bag of chips, just play with it. At the end of one of the songs, I was singing along doing my own version and it was so funny people looked around to see who was singing that, only to find a cute little baby (me!)

Moving Forward

So the other day my Dad came down the stairs only to find me right there in the hallway. He was very surprised but also very excited, as I have finally figured out how to lean forward and drive my little car all around. Since then, I have learned how to drive around the dining room, the living room and everywhere in the kitchen. Along with this comes some wonderful new things. I have learned about droors and cabinets, and how I can drive up and try to open them. I also like to drive around and play with the kitchen towels, go visit the fishies or look out the window. I heard Dad went to the store today to buy some safety things for the house now that things are starting to come together for me very quickly.
